Voters must show a photo ID, defined only as a non-expired Missouri driver’s license, non-expired or non-expiring Missouri nondriver’s license, or document contains the voter’s name (which matches the voter registration), photograph, expiration date (and it’s not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election).
Voters who do not currently have a photo ID can obtain one free Missouri non-driver license for the purpose of voting at their local license office. If you need help obtaining a non-driver license, contact the Missouri Secretary of State at (866)868-3245.
If a registered voter arrives at their polling location on Election Day but does not have acceptable photo ID, they can vote a provisional ballot. The provisional ballot will be counted if one of the requirements are met:
